Water Volleyball Results.

Yesterday's Au Naturel Games with Nature's Resort was a great success.
We started the day with a yummy pot luck breakfast. Several of us started early 'cause apparently I made up the 8 o'clock start time in my head, when it really started at 8:30.

Oh well, more coffee for me.

Petanque and Euchre began at 10, while we volleyballers waited til 11am hoping for warmer weather. It was a beautiful but chilly morning. Blue sky. Bright, bright sun. Very little breeze, but from the north. Then the wind shifted, the clouds moved in and it was a brave bunch that entered the pool.

Fortunately Tony had cranked up the temp to a lovely 94 degrees -
that's 35.5 Canadian (Celsius to the rest of us).
But still...brrrr!

I think just about everybody enjoyed the hot tub at one time or another!

OK..on to the victors.

We had 8 teams of 8 with a short list of substitutes. The games were spirited and fun to watch. The volleys got better and better and the skills were impressive.

Bronze went to Team 7:

Sherry 40, Ken C.(Natures), Stan, Bob 617, John 5, Sue Z. 38, Kim 328, and Dorothee 506.

Team 4 and team 5 really had to play their hearts out. They had to play the finale twice 'cause team 5 hadn't lost until the end. So it wasn't the end...one more game and team 5 got the gold.

Silver went to Team 4:

Dave(Natures), Rich 431, Anne-Lise(Natures), Lanny 16, Annie 28, Terry 502, Rick 207, and Pierre 318.

Gold went to Team 5:

Jack(Natures), Rene'(Natures), Mike 421, Bill 28, Tony 40, Bev 220, Sue P. #7, and Gwen 29.

What a fun day. Thanks Nature's friends, for coming over for a play date!

I'll post the Petanque and Euchre results if they are sent to me.

Time to be remembering that special song that the two of you had played when you got married or the song you listened to on the eight track while you were watching the submarine races out at the lake. I plan to play all that I get and have. Just make sure I get the list before Saturday the 14th, sooner the better so I can be looking them up.
