Just Call Me Hop-A-Long

I've been limpy and gimpy for the last few months and after staggering around our cruise ship last month decided to bite the bullet and make an appointment with Dr. Marquez at Cornerstone.

 

  Got the surgery clearance, x-rays...all the paper work... done quickly. Appointment made for surgery this morning.

...two and a half months. 

TWO AND A HALF MONTHS! 

And that date was only available because of a cancellation.

Is the rest of the valley falling apart? 

Good grief!  No summer for us I guess.

 

And by the way, I am feeling alot better. 

 No alcohol does wonders for the liver!

Memorial Day ...Remembering.

The hosts, John & Sue and Steve & Karon invite you to remember those who serve our country, now and in the past.

 

Past celebrations have brought a tear to our eyes and lumps in the throat. We live such charmed lives it's easy to take our freedoms for granted.  Let's take a few minutes to honor and remember those who make freedom possible.

Sorrow....

We are sad to report the passing of Roy (#34) who fought a hard fight but had to leave Nickie behind.

 

  They were married for 46 plus years and did everything together, including two cruises to Cuba on Russian cruise ships! 

I find that fascinating!

 

Nickie has been a summer water volleyball fixture for years and will be joining again shortly.  She can be remembered as the player who played until lunch time but then went home to make lunch for Roy.

 

Nickie, anything you need just reach out. 

 We are all family here.

Be Careful What You Wish For....

We had so little rain in the last few months I don't think it's even measurable..until yesterday.

 

3.3 inches with windgusts up to 55 mph!  And today it's raining again, softer, just .13 so far.  The plants are soooo happy. The field is a little flooded on the edges but nothing serious.

 

Lost TV reception and the lights flickered on and off a bunch, but oh boy!  Rain!

Summer Water Volleyball schedule

Here’s a reminder…

The Summer Water Volleyball schedule is now in effect.

Water Volleyball will be played Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 11:30 and Sundays at 1PM.

Since there are a limited number of players we look forward to seeing all of you at the pool to enjoy the Summer Season.

Once again….Summer Water Volleyball hours are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 11:30 and Sunday’s at 1PM.

Apologies

I am sorry for the half empty blog...I've had some issues.

 

  Starting last summer with swollen legs (valves in my leg veins have failed!). Mental confusion and altered reality landed me in the hospital in California over Christmas. 

 

Further testing revealed Cirrhosis of the liver (good-bye wine!), anemia, internal bleeding.  Now I need a partial knee replacement! 

 

 Good grief...what next?  So if I am a little boring and tardy with blog entries, now you know why!
