The Golfers Amongst Us....

Dakota Bill (Laura), #428, Tom and Louise Butler, #44, are serving as
marshals for the LPGA Navistar Golf Classic sponsored by Monaco RV this
week in Prattville, Alabama. Over 100 Monaco Coaches are parked near
the entrance to the course with ours among them. Navistar/Monaco RV
offered this golf tournament and rally at no cost!

We signed up to help with the tournament on Thursday morning as soon as
we found out they still needed volunteers. We start at 6:30 a.m. and
our day ends about 6:30 p.m. For $30 we got a hat, shirt and a chance
to get inside the ropes to assist with the tournament. Bill and Tom
paid an additional $30 to be able to play the tournament course
following the tournament. The Senator at Prattville is part of the
Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

The field was cut to 62 players Thursday evening and the finals are take
place Saturday and Sunday. The highlights of the tournament are being
broadcast on the Golf Channel from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Central Time each
evening with a repeat at 1:00 a.m. There are also news highlights
periodically on the Golf Channel. Look for us, we're the ones with the
signs that say, "Hush Y'all."Our assignments vary daily. So far Bill has been assigned to the 7th
tee while Tom and Louise have assignments on the 12th tee, 9th tee and
green. We've had brief conversations with the ladies and enjoyed
watching some tremendous golfers. I'm sure we'll all be playing much
improved golf this year!

Bill has a signed golf ball from one of the ladies. Tom and Louise are
hoping! We're also playing a version of fantasy golf among ourselves.
So far, Louise has us all beat by a long shot. On Thursday she had the
top three golfers. Thursday she had players at first, second and
tenth. The winner gets $10 from each of the other players (3) and then
buys lunch for everyone at Dairy Queen!

Come on, Bill and Tom. You two guys are such smooth talkers and good-looking, to boot, that you should have no problems getting autographs.

P.S. Or you could turn it over to Louise and Laura. They're pretty persuasive, too.
