Mother Nature Thanks You!

Mother Earth thanks y'all!
*
Sandpiper's residents give yourselves a pat on the back.
According to Karen W. the park has been able to keep
144 cubic yards of "stuff" out of the landfill this winter season.

That's a savings of $2800. that can be put to better use.
*
We accomplished this by recycling plastic, aluminum,
cardboard and newspaper, steel cans, and more
through Angel's Trash Removal and Recycling.

And a Huge Thank You to the people who haul the recycling
to the Edinburg Recycling Center.
*
We also were filling three 30 gal. trash bags per Sandpiper's function with
paper plates, cups and plastic table ware.
Now we have washable dishes and silverware.
*
Hopefully by next winter we will be able to recycle glass.
*
Our newest addition to our recycling program is a compost bin.
For the time being it is located on the edge of the Butterfly Garden.
*
Sandy at Lot 48 has recycling buckets and instructions for proper use of the bin.
PLEASE read this information before putting anything in the bin.

We want this to be a success.
Thank you Gloria for setting up the bin.
