We were paroled for a Disneyland visit. She lives 5 minutes away! Beautiful weather, up to 84 degrees. Crowded in the afternoon but we headed home by then for happy hour on the patio, and discussion of our assignments for the week.

Ever noticed Janet’s long, long hair and perhaps wondered why she kept growing it so long? Well, here’s the story.
In the fall of 2007, she lost one of her very best friends to cancer.
She promised her friend, Chey, that in Chey’s memory she would grow her hair long enough to donate her long tresses to Locks of Love.
This is an organization that takes human hair to make wigs for patients undergoing chemotherapy – mostly kids.
Well, after 2+ years Janet’s hair was finally long enough to cut, donate the excess – a full 14 inches - and still leave some hair on Janet’s head.
In the meantime, Janet lost two other friends to cancer. So to Chey, Marti and Susan, she followed through on her promise.
Here is a picture of the “new” Janet showing off the locks that will soon be made into a wig to brighten someone's life.
Oh, by the way, Janet is warning all her friends to stay well. She’s not going through this again!
