Funs-A-Poppin

In yesterday's blog I ended with a summary of the week to come, lamenting on lack of time to do all the wonderful activity choices we have here at Sandpiper's Resort.
One of the reasons this week is so hectic is that in addition to all that fun stuff, many of us are in secret meetings and rehearsals for the upcoming talent show Saturday afternoon, and again Saturday evening.
I'm gonna break ranks and give you a little preview of some of the acts....

There will professional quality music played by experienced performers.
And DO NOT MISS the lascivious , almost X-rated performance by a group of renowned "Ladies of the Evening". Avert your eyes if you are not into rubber and whips.
All of the singers are practising hard and deserve enthusiastic applause!
I couldn't sing in front of dozens of people, could you?

The dancers are working up a sweat, even as we speak!
I have heard really great praise for a new singer in the park.
She may just be the best we've ever heard. (How's that for pressure?)
Come hear for yourself.
I'm really interested in some of the groups that have formed ...people you wouldn't ordinarily connect with performing. Come see.
And do not miss the ballet....
OK, maybe more like this....
Saturday at 3....Saturday night at 7. In the Pavilion.
The heaters will be used if necessary, so don't worry about being cold.
The seats are free, tho reserved. I believe Saturday night is full. Check with Jon & Rita, #320, for afternoon seats. There are only about 6o seats per show.
There is standing room in the back, but for the best view you need a seat.
Do plan on attending. This is going to be an absolute highlight of the 2009 season.

Where do you find these super great graphics? YOu've outdone yourself again with this blog entry.
Is the show being taped for posterity?

I can guarantee it will be some kind of evening! And, YES, it will be taped for posterity. We have more people in the cast this year than ever. If this keeps up we won't have anyone in the audience - they'll all be performing.

Until/unless you're involved in the behind the scenes work you simply cannot appreciate all the blood, sweat and tears that go into a production of this size. It's amazing. My hat is off to all the Sand-peeps who are working hard to make this event successful.
