The women of Sandpipers must be part fish!
What a great day we had in and around the pool!
It was hard to concentrate on the game with the mouthwatering smokey aroma of grilled burgers from Don & Vanessa's lunch time feast...but we struggled through it.
All games were close and could have gone either way.
What skill,
what competition,
and I heard "kill the ref," only a few times!

There were a few substitutes on 5 at the last minute. Thank you Sue P. and Vanessa for subbing for Louise & Barb....and Joan for stepping in at the very last minute for Nurse Carol as she attended to an ailing Ann F.

There was a LOT of fabulous play by the women - best I've seen. But I heard "kill the referee" more than Sue Z. - must have been closer to the action!
And we are all hoping that Ann is recovering - we are thinking of you and hope to see you back in he pool soon.
