Here is the last issue of the underground newspaper.
Look back and enjoy!

This is the last issue before Jim & I head off in search of cooler weather. When we return in mid August I'll update with the latest news.

Construction is moving at a mind-boggling rate. I fully expect renters in the motel units when we return...well, maybe a slight exaggeration, but not by much I bet! The motel unit is two stories, two units up and two down, each with a living room, kitchen, bath and large bedroom. Very nice, quality work. The community room is going to surprise a lot of people. Huge kitchen with tons of counter space, lots of table room, two restrooms-no showers, a separate library/computer area, and six washer/dryer stations in the laundry. Wide doors lead out to a nice sized covered patio with tables and chairs. The landscaping that is planned for the area perhaps will include a water feature, lots of tropicals...it should be absolutely charming.

The plans for the north fence have wobbled back and forth for awhile due to problems such as permits, etc...but now it looks like mobiles are the way to go for that stretch.

The 600 row is completed, and landscaped with tropical fruit trees making it a veritable Garden of Eat'en...sorry, that was bad.

Jim and I, with huge help from Anne(Bill) and Sherry(Tony), planted berms at several road corners with flowering perennials. They look so good that more are popping up all over the park. Until they get planted they look like Indian burial mounds.

Sue and John P. have sent back water volleyball ideas from White Thorn in Va. that we may try to implement...like having several balls stored near the server, so when a ball goes far out of bounds, instead of retrieving it right away, play will continue. So simple...duh!

In town road work continues on McColl,
University(Hwy 106)is also all torn up.
After a very long dry spell we are finally getting a few days of good soaking rain.

Few people left in the park, and more drifting away every week. I must say tho, that we all are really looking forward to the upcoming season.

Til next time,
Sue Z
