Why Are YOU Here?

All I want to do is:

*Live in affordable South Texas to stretch my $$!

*Feed the birds outside my kitchen window...
birds have to eat too, and I love seeing the different kinds I can attract...no rats or snakes noticed!

*Grow herbs and veggies around my house...

*Cook interesting food (using those herbs) while drinking wine!

*Play Scrabble...

*Play with makeup and fashion...

Why Are YOU here?

I'm here because it's warm and I can grow things and enjoy watching the birds at my feeders and be with my friends

Everyone in the park feed the birds. They need us!!

I'm here because I hate cold weather and I hate wearing clothes. Sandpipers is a nudist park and the weather is as warm or warmer than anywhere else in the US. As an added benefit the cost of living in the Valley is very attractive.

"They (birds) need us!!"

That's just wishful sentiment. Birds are the oldest land creatures, dating from the time of the dinosaurs. They don't need us for anything! Except maybe to just stay out of their way, and they'll do just fine.

I'll just have to agree with what Sue said.

As I check the hometown newspaper to see if I'm listed in the obituaries, I see it's 11 degrees there, while it's 54 here, and heading to the seventies. In January! THAT'S why I'm here!

Along with all the other obvious reasons, like enjoying life in a nudist park with the best friends and neighbors ever... :-)

Its less expensive, and one heck of a lot warmer!

We don't feed the birds, but have to agree with anonymous- we need them for our own well being - they don't need us to do any more than protect their habitat

Actually, the birds do need us right now. Due to the drought there is a shortage of seeds that they depend on and there aren't as many little water holes. They also need cover-which is lacking near the feeder in the field. How about asking Karen to plant some shrubs that keep their leaves all year long.
