Bike Route Change for Nov. 29

Due to continuing construction at
Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge,
bicycles can not ride the usual loop through the park.
As a result, we are changing the bike ride
 for Tuesday, November 29.

We will ride from the park
to the Museum of South Texas History
at 200 N Closner Blvd. in Edinburg.

This is approximately 7.5 miles one way,
 a 15 mile round trip.
The museum opens at 10:00 a.m. so we will be able
to leave at our usual 9:00 a.m. time and ride at a comfortable pace
arriving before the museum opens.

We will be riding Seminary Road to FM
2812 and will then ride the
Hwy 281 access road which becomes Closner Blvd.

As this is a road ride and some riders are not comfortable with
this ride, at least one car, perhaps more will leave the gate at 9:45
a.m. to join the bikers in touring the museum.
Contact Louise, #44, if you wish to travel by car
 instead of riding a bicycle.
Following our visit to the museum
we will have lunch at Habaneras Restaurant
across the street from the museum.
Those who wish to continue the museum visit
after lunch are welcome to return to the museum.

Bike riders will return by the same route as above.
Non-bicycle riders are welcome on any of our trips.
If you haven't been to this museum, this is a good
opportunity to visit
and learn something about the history of this area.

Thanks for posting Sue!

Museum admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors.

Thanks to Joan, Barb and Hilton for scouting Santa Ana NWR for us!

Is that Joan or Barb on that bicycle? Only Hilton knows...
