Pam & Bob...Will We EVER Get There?

A horror story from Pam & Bob!
********
The title in my Subject line is exactly how I'm feeling this morning. Here's why:

When Bob and I left our stick house in North Carolina, we thought we’d be comfortably settled in Sandpipers by now.
As often seems to happen with us, our coach did not cooperate.
On the first leg of the trip she burst a hydraulic line,
one that had previously been “fixed”.
Reminds me of the air hose that had the same problem when we were stuck in the street next to our lot last year at Sandpipers—“fixed” but not really.

 (Bob accessing the hydraulic hose)

Next we lost a battle with some steel posts.
 What can I say?
It was very dark, the road in the campground was very narrow, and there was a small boulder on the other side of the turn which had to be avoided.
 (2 ½ doors damaged)

Then there was the mama mouse who made a nest of my walking wardrobe before she abandoned her offspring.
We first discovered the offspring.
Then we discovered the nest.
But the best was for last—my holey clothes.
 (Nest materials)
We already had other problems to be repaired and have been to 4 different repair facilities with a return trip to one of them scheduled for later this week.
After that we sincerely HOPE we’ll be on our way to our warm southern Texas home.
(Our current location)

P.S. The outfit pictured was just an example of the damage--there were 8 pieces of clothing that needed to be thrown out.

Better to get it all over with at once than to be waiting for whatever comes next. Sorry you have to go thru this. . . better times await you here at SPR!

Thanks, Sue! We've gotten enough things fixed that we're headed towards "home" & expect to arrive Monday. HOORAY!

Pam, do you remember a year or so ago, L.D. (Donna) posted information about insecticide cattle-tags in your RV nooks & crannies that would repel mice and other critters?

Sounded like a good idea to me!
