Would You Like to See Some Pictures?

I finally have gotten around to taking a few pictures of the improvements
Jay & Karen have been creating this summer.
As you enter the front gate (well, it's not done yet, but soon) you will gaze upon a flagpole garden complete with red, white & blue flowering plants and accented by Ellen's terrific gazing balls made from old bowling balls.
They will be scattered around in a few select places.

The community room now houses the Flip Flopz Cafe...

And the laundry, of course...
The original flip-flops have been moved to a nice display in the corner...
A new fridge!
This is the new electronic bulletin board/calendar...work in progress.
Aren't these new lights & fans? The bathroom murals look great!
And now...the pool!
Pretty terrific, huh?
And the filled in hot tub area in the pavilion has a new life...look, a ping pong table!

Bet you can't wait to get back here, huh?
The weather is going to be wonderful over the next week or so.
Low humidity, NO RAIN!, cool nights!
One more pool picture to whet your appetite for fun in the sun....

I LOVE the revamped bowling balls--who would have thought of that? Not me. Oh, and I LOVE table tennis--sometimes I can even beat Garland.
There's just one thing that I want to know--how does Jim Z. end up in every picture? LOL

Sue, Thanks so much for the pictures of Sandpipers. Good job! We shall see the park ourselves in Nov. We've been wondering if anyone has heard anything from Allen and Stevie?

Thank you for asking, Sharon & Dick.

Stevie & I hope to return to Sandpipers in Jan. The deciding factor will be Stevie's health.

The oncology reports are very encouraging. Stevie meets with medical oncologist in Dec. Also a meeting with neurosurgeon in Dec. She does not visit the radiation oncologist until May - he is happy with six month intervals now.

So, all going well, we shall see our Sandpiper's friends in Jan.

I heard a newcomer to Sandpipers mention in the pool that Sandpipers is even nicer than the website indicated. He and his wife think it is really fabulous! That was nice to hear.

I love Ellen's fancy bowling balls! I just have one question--where are you getting all those abandoned bowling balls, Ellen?
