Sandpaper

As most of you stroll by our lot #502

there is some question as to what is growing 

on that tall tree in front of our home. 

Mexican Papaya. 

Here is some of the results of that growth. 

We have been waiting since coming here in Nov.

for some great papaya. 

Finally 3 weeks before we leave several ripened

and are looking beautiful 

in those jars ready to be taken back north with us.

I did do 3 pints in December 

and we tested a couple weeks ago

and oh boy, 

they are better than peaches canned!

I know when I get north there are

going to be family members in line for a bottle. 

Hopefully all those baby papaya's that are on there now 

will be ready when we get back in November

so we can enjoy them also.
