Dec. 11, Soup Night

Soup Night will be held on Tuesday, December 11th
 at 5:30pm in Flip Flopz.

Come and support those who so graciously
donated their time and effort to make the soups.

Lentil soup made by Irwin and Margaret.

Corn Chowder soup made by Bernie and Bob.

A donation of $5.00 will help to support our
Adopt-a-Family Christmas project.

I am still looking for volunteers to make dessert
for the December soup night.

Thank you for your support,

Mary #5

When I went to Soup Night, I got one bowl of soup. When I went back to try the other soup, both soups were empty. I don't mean to be petty, but $5.00 for a small bowl of soup is pretty steep. Is there a way to make sure that everyone gets to try both soups?

We make every effort to make sure that all who come for soup get more than they need. The present procedure is that the servers dish out and serve the first bowl. After which anyone who wants seconds helps themselves.
It would be nice if those taking a second bowl would be considerate of others and not take an overflowing portion.
We are planning to make sure that there will be leftovers at the end of the evening.

Thanks to all who make soup night a success and are thoughtful of all.

Soup, soup and more soup! Two flavorful treats with enough for three helpings and the leftovers went home.
