It's time to start planning for the Valentine's Day Prom.
A prize will be given for the best dressed
(or maybe undressed)
couple.
The judges will be looking for
enthusiasm,
originality
and creativity.
Here is a great place to look for prom clothes.
Texas Thrift Store
located at 1001 E. Hwy 83 in McAllen.
They are open 9am to 9 pm Mon. thru Sat.
and noon to 6 pm on Sun.
Nora was there yesterday and she said
they have a huge supply of gowns.
Each day they have a sale on a certain color garment
so there are bargains to be found.
Texas Thrift Store is near Hancock Fabrics.
There is also another thrift store next door.
Another place to look is the Goodwill Store located at
101 E. Expressway 83 in Pharr.
(it is almost under the overpass connecting 281 and 83).
Catherine suggested E-bay. She found long gloves online.
The Ropa Usadas located on International Blvd. in Hidalgo are another place to shop but Nora said she didn't find much.
