2013 Sandpipers Nude Olympics Event Schedule


The long awaited information regarding the Sandpipers Nude Olympics is here!  There are plenty of old favorites and some new competitions to test your skills.  Come on out and join the fun.  

2013 Sandpipers Nude Olympics Event Schedule

Day 1 – Wednesday March 20 – Opening Day

9:00 – 3:30                  Petanque Team (Petanque Courts)
3:30 -  4:00                  Parade of Flags.   Parade starting at the office.  Flags of Nations, States, Provinces will be on display from walkers and golf carts.  Mikey will lead the parade with the Olympic Torch.  Parade route will be East past the office, North on the 500 row, West on the 200 row, South on the 300 row, East on the 100 row,  then use the North entrance to the Pool and Pavilion area. 
4:00 – 5:00                  Opening Ceremony.  (Pavilion and Pool)  Welcome to the Games of the 2013 Sandpipers Olympiad.  Rules and Regulation will be explained, and the schedule of events will be announced.
 
 
Day 2 – Thursday March 21 - Field Day

6:30 – 10:30                Pub Nite.  (Pavilion)  Pub Nite we will have a keg of beer, music and fun for all.  The events going on in the Pavilion will be qualifications and may be the finals for Washer Toss, Darts, Ping Pong and Bean Bag Toss.  You can also practice your Wii Bowling Skills for Saturday's competition. 
 
Day 4 – Saturday March 23 -  Big Balls Day

Day 6 – Monday March 25 -  Bigger Balls Day

Day 7 – Tuesday March 26 – Throw Up Day

9:00 – 3:30                  Today's event will be at the Z Field once again.  The events will be the Frisbee Toss, Softball Toss, Softball Distance Toss, Football Toss, Shot Put                                        and Plug Casting.  Come and try out your arm and see how far you and throw a Petanque ball, or if you can cast a fishing plug accurately.
                                    All  of these events will be a part of your total Decathlon score.
6:30 – 10:30                Finals if needed for any prior event
 
Day 8 – Wednesday March 27 – Ladies Get Wet Day
 
9:00 – 3:30                  Finals if needed for any prior events
11:30 – 2:00                Women's Water Volleyball (Pool)
2:00 – 3:30                  Water Balloon Toss (Pavilion)
4:00 – 6:00                  Closing Ceremony.  (Pavilion)  The closing of the 2013 Sandpipers Nude Olympiad.  Awards will be presented along with unexpected surprises.  This will be a Super Happy Hour with a Chicken Wings Cook Off contest.  Come and join the fun, taste some wings and see who will be receive the Men's and Women's Decathlon Medals and take home the honor of being the best male and female athlete from Sandpipers. 
 
The Decathlon Event will be the scores from 10 events.  Wii Bowling, high score.  Shark and Friend, best time.  Softball Toss, best score.  Softball Distance, longest throw.  Football Toss, best score.  Frisbee Toss, best score.  Shot Put, longest throw.  Plug Casting, best score.  Petanque Skills, best score.  Wiffle Ball Golf, best score.  To be eligible for the Decathlon the athletic must participate in all 10 events. 
 
All events will be set up at least 1 day prior to the scheduled event so you can practice your skills prior to the event.  Rules and how the event will be done will be up to the event coordinators. Sign up for the events will be done at the event location and at the start of the event.  Sign up for the major events will be announced as they become available.  Information will be available at lot 308 for all events and will also be on the Sandpipers Calendar and on the blog and on the White Board in the Pavilion.  Announcements will also be made on K-NUDE radio .

Rules and general information
 
All events will be held at Sandpipers Resort.
 
All Olympians will be registered guests of Sandpipers Resort.
 
All Olympians will participate in the events nude.
 
All events will involve some type or kind of physical skills.
 
Sign up for individual events will be done on the day of the event and at the event location.
 
Sign up for team events will be either done a day or two ahead of the event for scheduling purposes and making up teams.
 
Events will be scheduled with the least amount of interference with the regularly scheduled events going on every week at Sandpipers.
 
Preliminaries of some of the larger events will be held prior to the start of the Olympics so everyone should be able to participate in all the events if they so choose.
 
Substitutes will be allowed with players of equal qualifications and with the approval of the event coordinator. 
 
There will be a decathlon event this year consisting of 10 individual events.  There will be a mens and ladies division.  All 10 events must be completed to qualify for an award.
