Fun in Minnesota

We met up with Bill & Annie in Red Wing, Mn, at Treasure Island Casino RV and had a blast!  Every day the four of us would shoe-horn our way into their Jeep and head off on another adventure.
We did an eagle watching river cruise....
and saw lots and lots of eagles....
Toured the Red Wing Shoe factory....fascinating!
They gave us coupons for the Red Wing Shoe store
so of course we had to go there too.
And food...
we ate all the time...
food porn below....
These were our lunch choices at Perkins,
 one of Annie's favorite restaurants.

And since too much is never enough we had to buy pie to go...
Oh my, pie!

More eagles at the Wabash Eagle...what...museum? Habitat?
Injured eagles are rehabilitated and used for educational purposes.

Is it just me, or does this eagle....

and Bill share "the look"?
There was a wonderful demo including
the feeding of a golden eagle (he ate venison)
and a young bald eagle (fish was his lunch of choice).
Besides lots of eating and touring we did manage some hikes and a great walk thru the woods to a hill overlooking the town (which is just too cute).

The colors were just starting to turn on the trees,
 but the sumac was brilliant!
This last day was a picture perfect fall day,
perfect for a walk in the woods!
And to keep it real I took lots of pictures, as usual,
including dead moles

and partially eaten deer legs!
Bill & Annie took off this morning to visit family and will be back to Sandpipers in a couple of weeks.  We are leaving here tomorrow and heading towards Texas...be home soon.

I also witnessed both sets of eyes looking (hunting) for a beer in Luckenbach, Texas last year - both were on a mission - find beer!

Be careful around all that pie.

The largest Knight at the Round Table was Sir Cumference, and he got all that extra girth from too much Pi.
