The town council in a small village could not afford a radar gun to catch speeding drivers, so they voted to put up a sign that read
Slow Down: Old People's Home.
It had no effect.
At the next meeting they decided it would be more effective to put up a sign that read
Caution: Children At Play.
Unfortunately, the sign made no discernible difference in traffic speed.
Then one of the council members had a stroke of genius and suggested they try a sign that read
Caution: Nudist Colony Ahead.
As soon as the sign went up, cars slowed to a crawl on their way through the village.
