Just got back from our appearance at the party....we are not hermits after all...who knew?

 

Not a huge turnout but the costumes were great....a historical/artsy/literary theme. 

We left a little early as my girdle was riding up.  Don't you just hate it when that happens?

 

I was a Pharo (or feral) cat...depends on pronunciation)

 

 

Jim was a pirate...maybe Pirate of Penance?

On our Way Home...

Holy moly, what a summer.

  Back in August Jim and I headed north looking for cooler weather, maybe some rain. Found it in spades!

 

 We stayed a few days at the Coushatta Casino in Kinder, La...I won a bunch of moola in a slot tourney and got comped for our RV site.

 

Then we headed north...did the Natchez Trace, Nashville, Caves of Kentucky...great fun. 

 

 Spent several days with Bob & Bernie at their terrific house.  Then on to Dr. Bob &  Catherine in Peru, In. 

 

He saw the sore on my nose, had a fit, and fixed me up with his dermatologist, got a biopsy...cancer!

 

Surgery in Indianapolis with recovery time at Bob & Cath's....nice to know a doctor! (side trip to northern Michigan while awaiting my surgery date)

 

After a few weeks we headed south, spending several days at that casino where we started....I won another slot tourney, got comped again! Boyoboy, just love that!

 

Home tomorrow...home...love that word.
