We actually saw sun for the first time in, oh, maybe a week.
Juneau had some lovely, though still cool, weather while we explored.

Jim has gone native.
We toured Glacier Gardens. Gorgeous flowers, just breathtaking!
These are upside down, huge trees...the flowers planted in the roots...amazing!
Inside their visitor center was an impressive display of hanging baskets... and garden scupture. But nothing can beat the beauty of the local wilflowers.

Be SURE to check out the saloon! What saloon? I don't remember the name, I think maybe it's the Redd Dogg Saloon, or something like that.
The old-time rinky-tink piano player is a gas, with his somewhat risque, bawdy lyrics. There's sawdust on the floor, a stuffed bear climbing a support column, and all the atmosphere of the old Gold Rush days.
I don't remember if they serve wine, but try some Alaskan Amber draft instead... it's brewed right there in Juneau, and it's pretty darn good!
And most of all, HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!
I'm perusing older posts looking for a clue to the identity of the gal on the horse. Came upon these pictures and thought--now there's a place I'd love to see! Flowers are definitely my cup of tea and your pictures showed some lovely ones.
