As a former order-entry clerk for a worldwide firm, the longest place-name I ever found with all its letters typed with one hand, is Sweetwater Texas.
As for Texline, how about Texarkana, straddling the line?

I saw the remains of the Flagship Hotel in Galveston a year ago. What a shame.

Wow, just how tall IS the San Jacinto Monument? 567.31 feet! The Washington Monument is 555.44 feet tall, but the Gateway Arch in St. Louis (the monument to our Westward Expansion) is 630 feet. But then, I don't know what they mean by "free-standing."

I've always thought it would be such fun when asked where I was from to say (with my best imitation Texas drawl), Cut N Shoot, TX. Wouldn't that raise some eyebrows in say, New York City!
I went to a camp for students who were going to Baylor in the fall. I was standing in line behind two girls. We started talking, and they asked me where I was from I said, "Ft. Worth. Where are you from?" "They said, earth." I laughed and said, "Me, too. But where are you really from?" They again said, "earth." I was beginning to think that this wasn't funny, when they assured me that they were, in fact, from Earth, Texas. I still don't know where Earth is located.

Patsy: Earth, TX, pop. 1109, is about 65 miles northwest of Lubbock, at the junction of US Hwys 70 & 385.
Golly, that's 756 miles from here. Perhaps we could talk to those nice people at NASA about getting up an expedition to get there from here!
