Last night we inaugurated the first Comedy Club.
I hope you were there 'cause it was a riot!
It was organized sorta like a Karaoke evening.
When we arrived there were little slips of paper on the tables that we filled in with the name of our skit or joke ... something Jon could use to introduce us.
Then it started.
Jon warmed us up (and lowered the bar) with groaners that got us chuckling.
The story tellers had us giggling.
The skits had us rolling on the floor.
Some of the highlights...by no means all, everyone was just great....were Bob & Mardi doing a skit as Archie & Edith Bunker. THEN they sang the theme song! Terrific!
Marilyn again performed great jokes in character voice.
Dorothee told several stories from her younger days...really cute...with the funniest being the day she cleaned all the false teeth (she's a nurse) from at least 20 patients. Cleaned them all at once, together, til they were shiny, good as new. Then had to figure out whose was whose.

There were jokes, true stories and little skits.
It was a warm & fuzzy evening.
Plan to attend next year.

My hearty applause to all who participated in a brand new event in the park. Last night there were many of our neighbors and friends who stood up and took a chance at the comedy hour. Their presence was great, their timing good, and their ability to deliver a punch line with a straight face amazing. Why haven't we seen their talent before?!
There is a venue for every talent here in the park. How do you find it? Keep your ears open... plus SueZ will probably give a shout out when the time is right.
