Pictures from Funs-A-Poppin!

WHAT AN EVENT!
I don't have pictures of every act, but here are the ones I do have...a recap to relive the hysterical memories!

The Program...
Toni, The Mistress of Ceremonies
&
Louise, The Poet Laureate
The Sand Fleas, Jim G., Sue P., George R., Sandy G., Pierre, Diane
Phaleta sang Hello Young Lovers.
Followed by Lester's violin concerto.
Debbie, Barb, Pauline, Sharon, Rinda, Karen, & Frankie danced The Charleston.
Lois sang You Needed Me.
Lisette, Sue Z., Kathy R., & Sue P. interpreted new moves with pool toys
in The Dance of the Inflatables.
The Extension Chords, Bill F., Dick B., Bob H., Tom B., Laura F.
John P, Jim Z, Gary B, & Roy R, in A Humble Swine Lake. We'll never eat pork chops again.
Ray wowed us with Mack the Knife.
Cotton Eyed Joe danced by Terry, Donna T, Pauline, Debbie, Sharon, Dorothee, Karen H, Donna G, Vanessa, Rinda, Barb, Pam, Frankie, Diane...not all made it to the picture.
We were rolling on the floor at The Bank Robbery,
with Margaret, Ray, Carol, Barry, Diane & Pierre.
Sue astounded us with The Mom Song.
The Piano Brothers, Tony & Don, showed us that, if you practise a lot,
you, too, can master the piano...without hands.
Here is The Peanut Gallery...without the peanuts.
Here come the Peanuts...
Kathy & Roy delivered jokes with style! And Tommy & Janet brought back Laugh-In memories with groaners!
There were a few notable acts that I didn't get pictures for that really deserve a mention.
Barb you have added a new meaning for ice cream cones to everyone that heard your performance. I know for years to come, suddenly some one will mutter, "Lick, lick, lick."and I will be transported back to your stage act.
And Marilyn M...what a voice! What stage presence! You were marvelous!
Dubliners, Laura, Bill, Louise & Tom... your act was so cute and so well done. Good Job!
Many behind the scenes folks are needed to put on a show that ran as seamlessly as this one did.
Russ & Marijanne kept all running smoothly as stage managers.
Lighting Engineer John P, did a masterful and never ending job with the lights.
Ron S videographed both performances. DVDs will be available soon.
Many more people need mentioning but this blog has gone on and on...read the back of the playbill for all the volunteers who helped make this show such a success.
Finally, Jon & Donna.
Jon had the vision and was the creative drive behind much of Funs-A-Poppin and with Donna's support made this event a true highlight of the Sandpiper 2008-2009 season.
If I left anyone out, well, you know where the comment button is.
