Upcoming Events & Contest Deadline!

Halloween is fast approaching! Get your costumes ready as the Halloween Fright Night will be a HAPPENING you won't want to miss!

There will be dancing, music, a costume contest and great fun. Bring ghoulish goodies to share.

Oct. 31st, 7pm in the pavilion.

But...before that is the first get together of the season.

Dancing under the stars to the great music by the band "Chicago". Come to the pavilion to do a little dancing, listen to some tunes and catch up with old friends...and make some new ones, too. FunBuzz will provide a few snacks, but feel free to bring more.

Now....Contest Deadline! OCT. 31st!

Throughout the summer this blog has been running contests. We've had the "48 Hour Blog Comment Contest", won by Kathie #106. She'll receive a pair of lunch tickets at the first FunBuzz Happy Hour on Nov. 1st.

Another contest is the "Birthday/Anniversary Dates Contest", run in conjunction with John #5 and Darbi #3, the editors of the SandPiper Resort Newsletter.

They will be giving out a lunch ticket prize every month from that month's birthday/anniversary dates...but, I am going to do a random drawing from my list of dates, too. Everyone who sent in a date got an entry. You got one for your birthday, your spouse got one, the two of you got another for an anniversary...three chances for food!

It's not too late to send in your dates to get entered! The drawing won't be until Oct. 31st! Email me at zabrit@earthlink.net and I'll put you on the list, and I'll send your dates to the newsletter...more chances for a free lunch.

And speaking of lunches by the pool...they are starting with a bang! Bratwurst this Saturday, Burgers the following Saturday. And if you won lunch tickets in the 2008 Labor Day Water VolleyBall Tournament, don't forget your tickets...free lunch!

The last contest is the "Sandpiper Blog Ideas & Movie Mania Contest". Three-3-three, that's right THREE winners!

Anyone who sends in an idea for a blog column, or shares a funny story, or describes a great restaurant experience, or a picture...or anything, really! They get an entry, their spouse gets an entry...heck, maybe their dog, too. I'll do a random .org drawing for the three lucky winners and they will win something pretty neat!
