Change Notice for Bicycle Ride for March 7,
2017
After careful consideration our bicycle ride for Tuesday,
March 7, 2017 has been changed to Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife
Refuge. Our previous ride would have been impacted by spring break on South
Padre Island so we're opting for a quieter ride and a ride which is a favorite
for our group. We will ride the 14 mile Bayside loop. We will stop for lunch
at the Laguna Madre overlook. Pack a sack lunch. The ride is about 2/3
on paved surface with the remaining being good gravel road. Wind can be a
challenge on this ride, most of the ride is north/south so strong winds from
either north or south make the ride more challenging. We usually see a variety
of birds and other wildlife on this ride. Come join us for one of our most
interesting rides we schedule each year.

Bring water, insect repellant, sun screen and binoculars and/or
camera for this ride. We will depart the Sandpipers gate at 9:00 a.m.
