More from Maria!

Flip Flopz lunches begin this Saturday, Oct. 31.
We will be having a new item added....Lonches!

For those of you who visit Progreso....you know what I am talking about! This is a picture of what I found off the internet!

It is a bolillo bread lightly grilled.....mayonnaise, a choice of meat, shredded cabbage/lettuce mix, tomato, onion, avocado and white cheese. Now as far as the grilled onions on top...maybe we can get the girls to make them too!

We also will be havin
g our burgers, tacos, salads.
AND of course our dessert menu!
It will still be Dessert De Jour:
It can be pie or cobbler, or some cake, or cupcakes...It will be something yummy! You will still be able to add some ice cream to it or enjoy a bowl of it! Whip cream as well! Oh, lets not forget the sherbet! Try a rootbeer float! Or better yet a Vanilla or Chocolate or Strawberry milkshake!

So hopefully this message will make ya hungry! Lol!

We are accepting monies for FlipFlopz/activities in the office!

Patricia

Patricia, named after my Florida sister!

It rained.
Yesterday lots of spitty little rain showers that lasted short minutes.
Today it rained all afternoon.  Sometimes really heavily, but all in all, maybe 2 inches.  South of us in Weslaco they got tons more.  We were lucky.  Of course Jay doesn't feel lucky as he is babysitting a pump....but all in all, no problemo!

An End in Sight to Horrible Summer

I have had the worst summer health wise, but the end is in sight.

While in Oregon my legs started to swell, swell so much that I had to go to the doctor before we got home to rule out the usual suspects  All is normal, but I eventually lost almost 30 pounds of water in a month.  What caused this, you ask.  No answers yet but all my vitamins are stopped for now....toxic vitamin reaction, plus addiction to pain meds seems likely.  For awhile I was so confused I tried to change the TV channels with the phone.

Still am shaky. Then to add insult to injury I fell out to bed while reaching for my glasses.  Stripped the flesh completly off my upper arm.  What a mess!

Peeps are returning.  Look out for potholes on Seminary Rd.  They are bad.

VolleyBall is starting to be more populated.  Sami is trying out new recipes.

As soon as I can get back into the swing of things I'll post more.

Gnats!

Gnats!
Aren't they terrible right now?
Here's an antidote:
Mary said she's gonna try some Vanilla, so she did.
I guess it must have worked.
So I have now tried it three times, and it has worked wonderfully for me.
Get your bottle of Vanilla, put some on your fingertips,
dab it around your ears, across your forehead,
and on the tip of your nose.
VOILA!!
 No gnats for hours!

And it smells great, too! No stinky chemical smell on your face. Or that taste in your throat. It works for me!

You're Welcome!  :-)
