An Indiana Hello!

We spent a wonderful week and a half with Catherine & Bob in Peru, Indiana...A day in Shipshawana, at the big flea market and antique auction...we ogled the Amish.We went out to dinner...a lot!Bob & Bernie joined us for dinner and to love on Gizmo, who is the

CUTEST DOG IN THE UNIVERSE!Much hilarity ensued...We feasted on farm fresh cantaloupe, tomatoes...CORN! After a lovely week on antiquing, flea markets and bargain hunting at garage sales with Cat (Her new nickname) & Dr. B, we moseyed down to Kokomo to spend a few days with Bob & Bernie before their much anticipated Portugal trip.

Of course, that meant more dining....

Jon & Donna joined us and that meant of course, more wine....

And perhaps the BEST PIE EVER...The Candy Bar Pie!

Yes! It is that good!

We won't really mention the bike accident (me),

the fall down the pool steps or the twisted foot (Jim)...

Gotta recover at the 3rd Annual Sandpiper Reunion at SunnyHaven (It isn't very sunny yet).

We will spend a few days at Tommy & Terry's ranch before we head back to Texas. Bob & Bernie plan on a Nov. arrival, Cat & Bob will be there after Halloween. Jon & Donna are thinking early October. And Now...a News Flash from Joy!

Hello All,

I will not be arriving at Sandpipers until after Thanksgiving. My animals, 14 mallards, 8-10 big catfish, the birds and crows just didn't want me to leave them. If anyone is passing through, please stop and see me, I will be getting awfully lonesome.

I will miss everyone. See y'all after Thanksgiving.
