From the front office:
I've been in touch with the Raymondville Drain people presently working just off FM2812. Due to the ongoing flooding problems we at Sandpipers have been experiencing, a slight rerouting of the ditch is in progress. You may receive a letter from the county explaining your options.
Apparently the ditch will go through Sandpipers and affect certain homes. The right of imminent domain may be used in some cases, but true market value will be offered if those homes must be removed. You should hire an attorney if you decide not to sign away your property, however "your property" refers to the actual home not the land under it. The land belongs to Sandpipers.
A wall bordering the drainage ditch will be constructed (using taxpayer money) for safety and protection. Because this action will result in fewer home sites for rent fees will increase above the increase recently stated. For example if you pay $4000 annual rent now an additional fee increase will bring you to a little over $6000 per year, perhaps a bit more to help defray construction costs.
Any guestions should be directed to the office.

Oh no! LOL
And what was the good news?
Since the dire shake-up caused by this situation is so horrible, I just loved the classy touch of using "imminent domain" in place of "eminent domain"... Touche! :-)
