Expo opens at SPI Convention Center Jan 24
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND,
Texas – The 20th anniversary St.
Andrew’s by the Sea Episcopal Church Winter Outdoor Wildlife Expo (WOWE) opens
January 24 for two days at the South Padre
Island Convention Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“We have more
than 45 programs, workshops and events scheduled, including a number of new and
popular topics covering a variety of interests,” said Ralph
Ayers, chairman for the Expo.

Friday: A
Bird Walk, Nature Sketching, Shelling, Coastal Fisheries, RGV Reptiles, RGV
Birding, RGV and Monarch Butterflies, Butterfly Gardens, Geocaching,
Digiscoping, RGV Weather, Shells, Seagrasse, Critters of Cactus Creek Ranch,
Marine Mammal Stranding, Reptiles of the RGV, Birds, Butterflies, and Wildlife
of the RGV, Bats, and the Turtle Lady Legacy.
Saturday:
Danny Connor's Reptile Adventures (three shows throughout the day), Surf
Fishing, Monarch Butterflies, RGV Mammals, Africanized Bees, Kayaks for Sport
& Fishing, Bait Fishing the Bay, Beach Combing, Fly Fishing, Nature
Sketching, Advanced Nature Photography, Laguna Madre Dolphins, Critters of
cactus Creek Ranch, Wildlife & Bird Rehabilitation., Gardening and Native
Plants, Fishing's Future, Ocelot Up-date, Sea Turtle Rescue, Texas Prairie
