Meet at the front gate.

Delta Lake Park

(park admission fee about $3 per car)

 is northeast of Edinburg near Hwy 88.

The park and adjacent lake are popular picnic sites for the locals

 but are usually empty on our weekday visits.

There are usually birds to be seen in the canal

along one edge of the park and in the lake on the other.

 A wooded area offers a different habitat

and so we see a variety of birds usually.

This ride is a short ride.

We usually make several loops around the park

 for a distance of only 2 miles or less.

 We ride on park roads which have little or no traffic and are level. This is an easy ride for all.

Following the ride we will drive to Raymondville for lunch

at the Boot Company Restaurant.

Bring:

Camera,

 binoculars,

bird identification guide (if you have one)
