Bingo Update!!!

No Gringo Bingo next Sunday because of a lttle ball game of some kind.  BUT, next Gringo Bingo on Feb 12, will have a progressive coverall game of, get this, OVER $200!!!

 

$4.50 per card gets you 10 regular bingo games, a weekly cover-all, and the progressive cover-all.

 

Come to Jakz (or Jax as I recently called it) on Sunday at 7 pm. Come one and all. Bob & Carma want to give you money!!!

Super Happy Hour Super Bowl Party

3 PM, Sunday Feb 5th at Flip Flopz.

 

Bring a Super Bowl Themed dish to share if you wish

and prizes will be awarded to the best Super Bowl food creation as judged by the crowd.

 

 If you want to just bring a simple dish to share that's just fine.

Also bring your drink of choice.

 

There will be Super Bowl related games of skill

so bring a few dollars to enter prize winning games,

 such as Trivia, Word Search etc.

 

The Super Bowl starts at 5:30 PM, so if you want to stay and watch the game at Flip Flopz that is just fine as snacks will be served during the game and shots for every touchdown scored.

 

This is a fun party time and everyone is welcome to attend even if you are not football fans.

More Sadness...

" It is with deepest regrets that we must let you know

of the passing of Lester Handwork at the age of 93.

 

  Lester passed away peacefully during the night on Saturday, January 21st. Robin and his niece were with him when he passed.

 

He was a member of Sandpipers and

played golf for many years during the season. 

 

 He hit a hole-in-one as he approached his 90th birthday.

 

He was a warm and caring friend who touched may people here at Sandpipers, and he will remain a smile in our ...hearts."

You've heard about the infamous shows that happen at Sandpipers.  Here's your chance to be a part of it.  Come up with a cute skit from the 70's & 80's or lip-synch to your favorite song from back then.  Let your imagination run wild.  It can be a show, goofy trend or anything you and your friends would have fun with.  The only agenda is to have a blast with it. 

When you've gotten the idea down and the people lined up (if it's more than you) let Marsha or me know.  We'll help you in anyway we can.  We're here to make this as much fun as it can be.  So help us out and put together your most outlandish presentation.  Let's make this show the one they'll be talking about for years.

We'll have a cast rehearsal 2/3/17.  On 2/4/17 you'll have a live audience. There will be two shows, an afternoon and evening performance.  So put your minds to work.  We look forward to working with you.
