Adopt-A-Family Farewell

Mary and I would like to thank all of the Sandpiper Residents who have helped us this year and in all of the previous eight years. 

 

Through your generosity we have been able to assist 26 families comprised of 59 adults and 87 children.

We have spent well over $25,000 accomplishing this.

 

The long hours, many trips to the grocery store, Walmart, Dollar Store, looking for appliances at reasonable prices and the uncountable miles travelled to accomplish this has been overwhelming at times. But it has also been rewarding to see the smiling children and happy adults when the Sandpiper’s caravan arrived at the homes of these very deserving neighbors.

We are sure that the many people who helped us contributing money, time, auction items and use of their vehicles to deliver to the families a Christmas they will never forget, will have paid it forward in one way or another.

Mary and I have decided that the 2015 Adopt a Family program is our last. There will be no auction this winter.

 

 Once again thank you for all your help, support

and confidence in us over the last eight years.

Open House Reminder

Remember John and Sue's CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE!!

What is an open house?  It is NOT a super Happy Hour. 

 This is a party to spend some holiday cheer around

to your friends and neighbors. 

 You bring a drink, a nibble to share (gourmet if you want to impress!)...visit, admire the decor, steal a kiss or two under the mistletoe-then drift away to your next event!

It's supposed to be an ebb and flow type party. So come for a little while, anytime between 4-6pm.

 to wish a Very Merry to one and all.

 

As for the parking...remember the NovemberFest parking rules?  Park on the side of the road, do not even consider parking on the grass or Santa will leave a lump of coal in your stocking! 

 Don't block the road.
