Updates, Day 7,Tuesday, March 26
  1. Rules for Softball Toss, Frisbee Toss, Football Toss are all the same These Events are 3 different individual Medal Events but your scores for these events will also be used for your total Decathlon score.

      1. Throw the softball, frisbee, football through the square. It is OK and scores if it bounces or rolls through, but it has to go through not just hit the target.
      1. There are red distance lines marked on the field at 5 foot intervals. You must stand behind the line when you throw and not cross it with your feet.

      2. 1 point from the first line, 2 points from the second line, 3 points from the third line and so on.

      3. When you throw through the target from the first line you move back to the next line and throw again and keep moving back for every successful throw. If you do not throw through you will stay at that distance and try again. You keep trying until you have 3 total misses and at that time your turn will be over and your score totaled.

      4. Example. You are successful from distance 1, 2, 3 and 4 and miss at distance 5. You now have one miss. Your next throw from distance 5 is good. You now move back to distance 6 and are successful from 6, 7, 8 and 9 and miss at distance 10. You now have 2 misses. You also miss again at distance 10. You now have 3 total misses and your turn is over.
  1. Rules for Softball Distance Throw. You can throw any way you want and will get 3 throws. You must not cross the foul line with your feet and must stay in bounds. The longest throw will be your score.

  2. Rules for Shot Put. You will throw a shot put (Petanque ball) shot put style. You will get 3 throws and your best distance will be your score.

  3. Plug Casting. You will get 10 casts at the pool and scoring will be 5 points for the bucket, 4 points for the pool and 3, 2 and 1 point rings outside the pool. Total of 10 casts will be your total score.
Schedule for Day 8, March 27 Closing Day

Foot Fetish!

From Sandy J:

Frankie and I went to a new place in McAllen that you might like to share with our friends on the blog.  It is called Footy Rooty and offers foot care and massage.  The address is 117 W. Nolana  (across from Hollywood Theatre).  They are open 7 days a week from 10 am to 10 pm.  Walk-in are welcome.  We arrived at 10 am and were the only customers .
Footy Rooty (feet are the roots of the body) offers foot massage with several different treatments to choose from including reflexology, foot detox and foot herbal steam.

We chose the 1 hour foot massage which included a 15 minute foot soak, head, neck and shoulder, and arm massage before a 45 minute foot massage.  They use a reclining chair with a detached foot stool for the massage and it is very comfortable.   We both enjoyed our massages and were so relaxed we wished we could have taken a nap after.  All this for the introductory price of $ 30. plus tip.  We have some coupons for anyone interested.

Thanks
Sandy
